THE AMBIENCE. Built for today. Designed for tomorrow.
Sustainability means creating living spaces that feel good—for the people who live in them and for the environment that surrounds them. The AMBIENCE project, with its 52 condominiums, pursues precisely this goal: thoughtfully planned, efficiently implemented, and realized with a view to long-term use. With Heidelberg Materials as a strong partner, we have deliberately focused on sustainable building materials and innovative solutions that combine responsibility and quality. The result is apartments that not only meet today's requirements, but also those of the future.

High supply security, low emissions thanks to centralized combined heat and power (CHP) generation
the ambience – Where modern living meets true sustainability
With THE AMBIENCE, a new residential quarter is emerging in Berlin-Westend, demonstrating what responsible building can look like today. This is about more than energy-efficient standards – it is a holistic approach that conserves resources, ensures quality and creates lasting value.
Resources used responsibly – circularity over waste
Prior to the construction of the new buildings, the former high-rise buildings on the site were carefully dismantled. Rather than being discarded, the concrete was carefully processed and reintegrated as a high-quality material in the new build. This consistent recycling approach conserves primary raw materials such as sand and gravel and significantly reduces the project’s carbon footprint. A clear demonstration of how circular economy principles can work in urban housing development.
CO2-reduced concrete – a material with a future
Walls, ceilings and structural elements are constructed using an innovative concrete that reduces carbon emissions by around 30 percent and contains a high proportion of recycled aggregates. Thanks to the extensive use of precision prefabrication, future residents benefit from high build quality, shorter construction times and a more efficient use of materials and energy.
Sustainability as standard – today and tomorrow
The first buildings already comply with the KfW 55 standard, consuming only a fraction of the energy typically required by a conventional new build. The result is a home that saves energy, increases comfort and retains its value over the long term.
The Ambience – for mindful living
This neighbourhood represents contemporary architecture, smart building processes and a sense of well-being that can be felt every day. Moving here means choosing a home that excels both aesthetically and environmentally – and a future built the right way.
